WONDER WOMAN POWER POSE, ROCK THROWING, AND LETTING GO.
OK, let’s begin with Wonder Woman. I love this character, and I have been drawing upon her strength lately. I like all the various versions of her, but for the sake of the post, and also because she's my fave, I wanted to show Lynda Carter's old school depiction, standing in all her BADASS glory.
DO THESE TWO "CHILDISH" EXERCISES POST HASTE: ALL ABOUT THE HULA HOOP & TRAMPOLINE
So this week the weather here in my neck of the woods has gone back to being completely bipolar, with splashes of sun mingled in with all this Noah's Ark rain and wind and chaos. With all the weather nonsense, walks in natural surroundings I was happily blogging about a few weeks ago aren't as accessible as I want them to be, so they quite simply aren’t happening every day. Also, the regular yoga has taken more of a back seat at the moment as I want to get more active and move around more right now. I think that’s part of the whole fit thing, going with YOUR own flow and doing what feels right for YOU on any given day. This is me lately. And I feel like Hula Hooping and jumping on my Mini Trampoline :)
WALKING OUTSIDE: BRINGING BACK THIS HABIT HAS HELPED THE OL’ BRAIN & HAPPILY – THE BUNS.
Walking. Over the years this simple exercise has helped me feel like a God-honest better human being whenever I incorporate it into my regular routine. The simple act of putting on a pair of walking shoes and leaving the safe haven of my house, of stepping into the great big natural world outside has made my head space, and a happy bonus, gotten my buns in a much better state.
DEPRESSION WITHOUT ANTI-DEPRESSANTS: SHARP EDGES & VIVID COLOUR.
The occasional eruptions were hideous. And equally hideous were the terribly obvious moments where I couldn't touch an emotion with a ten foot pole.
YOGA AT HOME. MOSTLY SEATED WITH MY EYES CLOSED. AND SOME CHANTING.
I wont lie to you, I am still a naturally stressful person. But I REALLY want to calm the eff down more often. So that's why this week I wanted to write about something I've been drawn to in the past, and again lately. Yoga. The only difference is, I started doing it at home.
