WRAPPING THINGS UP: GIFTS, THE PHYSICAL SHOP & THE YEAR
A little novella for those who want to know about it allβ¦well, most of it. Biz stuff first, then onto my personal musings about everything.
IT'S A SHOP: MINIMALIST HOURS, MAXIMALIST VIBES.
Tomorrow is the 3rd birthday of our wee shop in Killearn. Rather than a bite-sized bit of imagery and verbiage on Instagram, I thought Iβd hop on here and birth the first blog in over three years. Let it be known these are my words, and not AI. Itβs Tara here, and Iβll try to nutshell it. Ha.
FOOD FACE: DIY Face masks from your kitchen.
Almost everything I've listed below I've been able to pick up at the local village Co-op, and any of these items can instantly be turned into a face mask.
After reading this, I highly recommend checking out the contents of your kitchen, and then mashing, whipping, slicing, or blending any of these ingredients up . Put them on your face, and truly embrace being a food face. Your skin will thank you.
CONFIDENCE, AND FEAR, AND SELF ACCEPTANCE. AND ALSO, YOU GOT THIS.
I don't think I'm alone in feeling that it's a constant dance between these two polar opposites, with Confidence leading occasionally, but most often Fear steals the lead.
In the past, I have sincerely wished that Confidence would toss Fear to the ground and do a fabulous solo. However, over the last little chunk of time, I've been looking for ways to befriend the fearful one. To find ways to live with her, accept her, and do the scary stuff despite her presence. She is a part of me and my life, only now I just make her come along for the ride, rather than letting her talk me into staying away from the stuff I'm afraid to do.
WONDER WOMAN POWER POSE, ROCK THROWING, AND LETTING GO.
OK, letβs begin with Wonder Woman. I love this character, and I have been drawing upon her strength lately. I like all the various versions of her, but for the sake of the post, and also because she's my fave, I wanted to show Lynda Carter's old school depiction, standing in all her BADASS glory.
A POST ABOUT SEASONAL AFFECTIVE DISORDER - KIND OF.
So, I've been feeling QUITE low lately. I'm trying pretty much everything I can think of to stay positive while trying not to be a huge bitch to myself (and others) when I do go to the inevitable dark side. But GODDAMN that has been hard. I notice that for me personally, during this time of year, not only is my energy level quite low but that my energy is a bit on the darker side. It seems to be significantly harder to stay on the positive side of things or see the glass as half full.
KOMBUCHA: GET IT. DRINK IT. BREW IT. SPRAY IT ON YOUR FACE.
Now before we get started below, please do enjoy some slightly informational entertainment about today's subject. LOL. These are both parody videos; I do love a good parody and this time I found two. I decided to add them both because they each made me laugh and they remind me of my peeps back home in LA and San Diego. Also, each video, even though they are total parodies, still throws out some good info. Pick a video, any video.
